Broomball at Broadgate Ice Rink

We’re bringing back our popular Broomball tournaments to Broadgate Ice Rink on Tuesday evenings in early 2016. If you think you’ve got what it takes to stay upright on the ice whilst batting a ball with a ‘broom’ in the right direction, get a team together and get in touch.

Broomball is a fast, furious, highly energetic and fun sport from Canada – think ice hockey without the skates. Mixed teams of up to eight players (six on the ice at one time including a goalie) battle it out in ten minute matches, trying to score more goals than the opposition. See Broomball at Broadgate on YouTube here.

You’ll be kitted out with knee and elbow pads, a crash helmet and a ‘broom’ – all you need to bring with you is warm clothes, a pair of trainers and extra clothes to change into after.

Dates available:
Tuesday 12 January (7-9pm) - Winner: The sunflower seeds
Wednesday 20 January (7-9pm) - Winner: Hymans
Tuesday 26 January (7-9pm) - Cancelled
