Broomball at Broadskate returns

Broomball is coming back to Broadskate on Tuesday evenings in early 2017. If you think you’ve got what it takes to stay upright on the ice whilst batting a ball with a ‘broom’ in the right direction, get a team together and get in touch.

Broomball is a fast, furious, highly energetic and fun sport from Canada – think ice hockey without the skates. Mixed teams of up to eight players (six on the ice at one time including a goalie) battle it out in 10-minute matches, trying to score more goals than the opposition. See Broomball at Broadgate on YouTube here.

You’ll be kitted out with knee and elbow pads, gloves, a crash helmet and a ‘broom’ – all you need to bring with you is warm clothes, a pair of trainers and extra clothes to change into after the game.

Dates available:
7-9pm (please arrive at 6.40pm for a briefing before hitting the ice)

Tuesday 24th January - Now full
Monday 30th January - Limited availibility

Tournaments include up to five teams and cost £108 per team (£13.50 per person based on a full team of eight). Please note, teams must be mixed (including a minimum of two female outfield players).

If you would like to get involved, please contact us at ice@broadgate.co.uk to book a place for your team. If you can’t get a full team together contact us and we will do our best to match you on your preferred date.

The rink is also available for private hire - contact us for information.
