Christmas in the City

Take advantage of the unique shopping, culture and events right on Broadgate’s doorstep this festive season in the City.

From Christmas markets and hassle-free shopping destinations, to carols and ice-skating, there’s nowhere better to enjoy all the delights of Christmas on your lunch break, after work or at the weekend.

Shopping

If the West End is too much hassle, avoid the crowds and enjoy the great high street stores in and around Broadgate, along Cheapside and at One New Change. If you’re looking for an extra special gift, you’ll find luxury wares at The Royal Exchange, London Silver Vaults or until 27 December at the Designer Jewellers Group+ at the Barbican. There’s also a number of Christmas Markets taking place across the Square Mile throughout December.

Art and Culture

The City has much more to offer than gift ideas. Whether you have an hour on your lunch break, some time after work or want to take in some culture at the weekend - there is plenty to see and do. Highlights include:

Skate in the City

No festive day out would be complete without taking part in a traditional winter past time - outdoor ice skating. Just a two minute walk from Liverpool Street Station and a stone’s throw from Spitalfields Market, our very own ice rink in Exchange Square is perfect for providing some Christmas cheer to your week. Open Monday to Sunday 10am-10pm, Broadgate Ice Rink is suitable for skaters of all ages and abilities. Non-skaters can watch all the action on the ice with a mulled wine on The Tasting Room’s heated outdoor terrace – our brand new pop-up rink-side bar and smokehouse.
