London’s most vulnerable face greater risks than ever during the cold winter months.
-Homelessness in London has risen by 36% year on year
-14% of children in poverty have to do without a warm coat in winter (Save the Children report 2012)
-Fuel poverty affects almost a fifth of London households and contributed to 2,500 winter deaths last year.
With your help, Hands On London is launching its second annual coat collection campaign to collect and re-distribute gently used coats to refuges for women and children, refugee centres, homeless shelters, and elderly centres across Greater London.
Inaugural Wrap Up London campaign in November 2012 will be taking place across Broadgate – in building receptions as well as at the Broadgate Welcome Centre (open 09:00-17:30, Mon-Fri).

We need to pay for transport to collect and deliver coats between collection points, storage warehouses and beneficiaries, bags for the coats, printing, marketing and more - every £1 helps. You can donate:
-By cheque payable to ‘Hands On London’ – please email us for a giftaid form
-Online on Paypal. Donations can be sent to elizabeth@handsonlondon.org.uk
