James Bond visits Broadgate!

Broadgate was delighted when we received the phone call to enquire about Broadgate as a scene in the new James Bond film, ‘Skyfall’.
Although filmed in Central London, The Broadgate Tower provides the setting for a tower in Shanghai.  As you’d expect, a lot of attention to detail was given to ensure it looked like Shanghai – including signage being covered and replaced, double yellow lines painted out on the road, with foreign ‘Shanghai-looking’ vehicles rolling up and driving on the other side of the road.
Standing at 164 metres, it is planned that the Broadgate Tower will be digitally altered to look approximately 2 to 3 times taller than it actually is in real life!
All that is known about the plot is the below statement made at the ‘Skyfall’ press conference:
“Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”
We look forward to the film’s release in October 2012!
