Our packed summer programme brings you all the live sporting action on the big screen in Exchange Square, free-to-watch film seasons and a whole host of dance, music, theatre and street art performances across Broadgate. So pull up a deckchair on your lunch break or meet with colleagues and friends after work and enjoy!

Sport on the big screen is on Monday to Friday from 9am till late in Exchange Square. This year’s highlights include:

  • Golf - The 144th Open at St Andrews 12-19 July
  • Tour De France from 14-24 July

Surrounded by restaurants, cafes, bars and some of the capital’s best-loved StreetDots traders, Exchange Square (EC2A 2BQ) is the best place in the City to celebrate a summer of sporting success or enjoy a movie.

Please note: Only food and beverages purchased in Exchange Square can be consumed at our Summer Live screenings. Do not bring any musical instruments, including drums and horns to the event. The screen schedule is subject to change.

The Seven Ages of Man by Tom Phillips RA

See our new sports inspired art installation by Royal Academician, Tom Phillips, in 201 Bishopsgate Reception till the end of summer. We are delighted to host this piece by Tom Phillips during our Summer Live season, which, having commented in writings“I have measured out my life in Wimbledons”, marks the passage of time and represents various stages of his life.

Royal Academy of Dance

On Friday 18 September we welcome dancers from the Royal Academy of Dance to perform in Broadgate Circle between 12noon and 2pm. Enjoy an alfresco lunch at one of Broadgate Circle’s restaurants to get a front row seat to see performances for the now sold out, prestigious Genée International Ballet Competition. 

Lucozade Sport Rugby World Cup Kicking Game

On Friday 18th September Lucozade kick-off the Rugby World Cup in Exchange Square. Test your Rugby skills from 10am to 5pm, before the Rugby World Cup Opening Ceremony and England V Fiji game starts on the big screen.

Summer Live Film Screenings

Join us on Saturdays to see foodie films and cult classics on the big screen in Exchange Square. Feeling peckish? Grab a picnic or nibbles to take away from our Broadgate Circle restaurants and cafes or book a pre/post cinema lunch or dinner for the perfect summer day out.

Ping! in the City

Beat your colleagues in our knock-out table tennis tournaments or leaderboard challenges on Wednesday 9 September in Exchange Square. There's everything to play for with prizes up for grabs and the title of 'The City's Top Table Tennis Player'. Tournaments and challenges take place from 12.30-2pm and 5.45-7pm with Free Play inbetween.

The Wind in the Willows 

Bring the whole family along to see London Contemporary Theatre’s spell binging adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows in Broadgate Circle on Saturday 1st and Saturday 15th August at 2pm.

Twelfth Night 

Set against the backdrop of the City, see London Contemporary Theatre’s adaptation of William Shakespeare’s hilarious comedy of love - Twelfth Night in Broadgate Circle Saturday 1st and Saturday 15th August at 7pm.

Street Velodrome

The World’s only pop-up Street Velodrome returns to Broadgate in Exchange Square on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th August for two days of competitive track cycling. Come and try track cycling, test your speed in a qualifying session or simply spectate to see some of the UK’s biggest cycling stars race in the televised Super Final. It’s free to take part and free to spectate.


From Monday 6th to Friday 24th July, 10am-8pm explore HEMYCA’s first pop-up interactive concept store in Broadgate Circle. Step inside to discover the full HEMYCA journey from inspiration to construction. See garments come to life through clever projection techniques and watch the craftsmanship and tailoring skills of the team as they work on made-to-order bespoke garments live – a must see for all fashion, design, and digital innovation enthusiasts.


Archikids, London’s family festival of architecture, returns to Broadgate on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July from 10am-5pm with a packed programme of fun activities. All events are free to attend and suitable for children aged 5-11 and their families. Let’s inspire the next generation of Londoners about the great buildings of their city.

Win tickets to Lord’s with Waitrose 

Visit the Waitrose batting cage in Exchange Square on Monday 13 July from 11.30am to 3pm to be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to watch England play Australia at Lord’s Cricket Ground. Waitrose has also invited a top England cricketer along to pass on his tips and advice, as well as pose for photos and sign autographs.

City of London Festival 

The City’s annual arts festival returns to Broadgate for a fantastic array of performances from Monday 22 June to Friday 3 July in Broadgate Circle and Finsbury Avenue Square. From aerial acrobatics and circus acts to music and dance, there’s plenty to keep you entertained on your lunch breaks. See the line up here.
