Summer of Sport

Summer of Sport will return to Broadgate in June 2015. See the season's highlights on YouTube here.

Kicking off with the World Cup on 12 June and ending with the US Open Tennis in September, Broadgate was the best place in the City to see all your sporting heroes compete in Wimbledon, Tour de France, The Open Championship, Indian Cricket Tour of England and the Commonwealth Games. The season has ended but Summer of Sport will be back in June 2015.

Summer of Sport Events

This year we hosted a range of free sport events. From simulators to the real thing – test your own tennis, football, cricket and cycling skills against the professionals. We hope to see them all again in 2015.

Game. Set. Match

Think you can out-serve Murray? Our Tennis Simulator is back next week from Wednesday 3 to Friday 5 September for the final week of Summer of Sport. Don't miss your chance to win an iPad Air from our sponsor, CMC Markets.

Street Velodrome

On Thursday 7 August we hosted the SportPursuit StreetVelodrome Series Super Final in Exchange Square. Those who were brave enough to have a go and complete a trial for the televised final can see their times on the StreetVelodrome website here. Take a look at our photos from the day on our Facebook page here.

We are hosting Cyclus, a peleton sculpture by Croatian Artist Vasko Lipovac, in 201 Bishopsgate's reception lobby for Summer of Sport. Make sure you visit before this piece starts its journey back to Croatia in early September.

Surrounded by restaurants, cafes and bars, it’s the best place in the City to celebrate a Summer of Sport. With themed menus and outdoor BBQs, there will be plenty of choice for match side refreshments. We will also be joined by some of the capital’s best-loved street food traders serving up a mix of global cuisines. Look out for the StreetDots and you’ll find a new food offer every day.

Please note: Only food and beverages purchased in Exchange Square can be consumed at our Summer of Sport screenings. Do not bring any musical instruments, including drums and horns to the event. The screen schedule is subject to change.
