Artist’s Profile

Thérèse Oulton

Born in Shrewsbury, Oulton studied at Central Saint Martins in London during the 1970s and at London's Royal College of Art in the early 1980s. Works by the artist are included in major international public collections including those held by the Metropolitan Museum in New York and London's Tate Britain.

In 2010, Germaine Greer commented, “Like Australian Aboriginal women… the land is no longer a "scape", dominated by a single controlling perspective, but a way of being, connected inextricably to its own travailed past.”

Oulton is based in London.
