1. Add Italian flavour to Christmas parties or head to your own cooking school: Eataly 

Eataly’s menus

Alongside its Italian festive hampers and beautifully wrapped panettone, Eataly will instantly make you feel more festive and with its beautiful cafes and restaurants adding backdrops to catching up with friends, family and work colleagues. The bar La Terrazza di Eataly serves up antipasti and seasonal cocktails, Pasta e Pizza specialises in woodfired pizza and traditional pasta from 11.30am every day while the bijou Cucina del Mercato has ever-changing menus inspired by the produce from Eataly’s market and fresh counters. Eataly’s La Scuola teaches the basics of fresh pasta, gnocchi and pizza making. 2. For paella, tapas and gin and tonics: Jose Pizarro

Jose Pizarro Christmas menu

Offering up paella which they call “the most sociable of all culinary occasions”, Jose Pizarro is a lovely idea for a Christmas party and can cater to 45 sitting and 75 people standing. The Festive set menu from November 1st is £37pp and features croquetas de jamón Ibérico, paella de gambas y sépia (prawns and cuttlefish) and to finish torrijas con canela, nata montada y vinagre de PX (pan-fried brioche with cinnamon, whipped cream and PX vinegar).

3. Watch a Christmas movie or hire out the cinema for your office party: Everyman Broadgate

See what’s on

Serving up delicious cocktails, craft beers, artisan wines, pizzas, burgers and puddings, Everyman Broadgate is a brilliant idea for a Christmas party. This year Mrs Fogg’s has a host of ways to celebrate Christmas. Their traditional lunch ranges from £32pp to £42pp with a la carte for six guests or a set menu for seven or more while their very special Festive Brunch is all about delicious plates given a special twist with free-flowing pink Prosecco. With their famous gin adventures available to book if you fancy the full Mrs Fogg’s experience, they’ll provide an unforgettable night out.

With starters of beetroot and chestnut croquettes, romesco sauce, pepper relish or gin-cured salmon, avocado mousse, wasabi mayo, salt baked beetroot and rye crouton; mains including braised short rib of beef, fondant potato, black cabbage and shimeji mushroom or lentil, quinoa and butternut squash loaf, heritage carrots and Savoy cabbage, cauliflower purée and vegan gravy followed by a choice of puddings (bread and butter pudding, poached clementine, Bailey’s ice cream is our choice), this is a proper Christmas party.

13. Best for champagne under the stars: Yauatcha City

For a truly special evening head to Yauatcha Ice City, in collaboration with Champagne Moët & Chandon. Open until March 2022, Yauatcha Ice City sees the terrace's two covered and heated floors decorated with faux-fur rugs under hanging chandeliers and fairy lights, where Moët Brut Imperial and Moët Brut Imperial Rosé will be served by the glass and the bottle.
