At their roastery in Aylesbury Prison, they train young offenders in roasting and competition-level barista skills with the aim to reduce reoffending in the UK. We want to show the coffee community that exceptional specialty coffee can come from places and people you wouldn’t expect.

Redemption Roasters is a specialty coffee company with a difference. They’re the world’s first prison-based coffee roasters, training offenders in competition-level barista skills with the aim of reducing reoffending in the UK.

Their primary offering is, and always will be, exceptional coffee. Redemption Roasters source ethical, directly traded, specialty-grade coffee beans from all around the world and roast them in small batches at their roastery in Aylesbury Prison. The coffee served changes often, to bring you the best coffees of the season.

Redemption Roasters’ baristas, some of whom are ‘Graduates’ from their prison academies, are highly-skilled in coffee technique as well as passionate about customer service. For slinging shots, they have a brand new 3-group Slayer Steam EP — the very first in the UK. Accompanying their coffee, there’s a simple menu of cafe classics — think pastries, cakes, cookies, breakfast pots, and grilled toasties.
