If you’ve been in Exchange Square recently you may have noticed our fantastic new installation: A Tree Come True.
Created by students aged 16-18 in collaboration with The City Centre and Broadgate through free workshops facilitated by Scale Rule, the installation is all about tackling loneliness in the city. The students not only conceived and pitched the idea to judges but they were then instrumental in installing the piece which will be in situ until Friday 26 October.
And on 30 September, the creative minds behind the project came down with family members to explore and explain A Tree Come True. They also showed off their original drawings and models of the project.
One of the major aims of the art is to get people taking a second glance at their everyday surroundings while taking time out of their days to interact with it – maybe even discussing it with other passersby. So come along to Exchange Square and see something truly amazing from the next generation of design and building talent.
