Live music is part of the neighbourhood with up-and-coming talent regularly taking over our public spaces. To celebrate our ongoing support for new names, we’re collaborating with new global music distribution service, Spinnup, to launch a calendar of gigs at Broadgate.
We’ll be kicking this off with a special evening on Tuesday 17 September from 7.30pm-9pm to run alongside London Design Festival and the arrival of Please Be Seated at Finsbury Avenue Square.
Ewan J Phillips
As a London-based alternative singer-songwriter/producer, Ewan has played in a multitude of bands over the years. Now a one man band, Ewan's live performances can range from a frenzy of looped cello, screaming guitars, and synthesizers all the way to a classic soulful heartfelt ballad. Pop at its most organic, Ewan is carving out a unique and exciting sound-world. Outside of his artist project Ewan has been known to work with rising singer-songwriters, co-writing and producing songs they will take with them on their journeys.
Vaughan is the pseudonym for Thomas Harvey, an English singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose radically truthful songs feature eloquent lyrical themes of a bruised reality. His left-of-centre pop sound aesthetic has been compared to the likes of BANKS, Lorde and RY X.
Tom Houston is an unsigned 17-year-old singer-songwriter from Reading, England. Music is a huge part of his life, with his personal songs acting as a medium for him to share his life experiences with his listeners. He is quickly making waves in the music industry and sharing his songs with bigger audiences. His debut single Mixing Drinks achieved over 100,000 streams after featuring on the Acoustic Room playlist on Spotify within a month of its release. As the Young & Upcoming Music Blog recently explained, “with his soft lyrics and effective finger-picking style guitar, it’s understandable why he’s reaching out to a wider audience and is growing as an artist”. Tom has recently released a new summer single called Plastic Heart and is preparing to release his debut EP.
