Greener Spaces

Broadgate is at the forefront of sustainability. We’re committed to achieving net zero carbon across our buildings and developments by 2030, with definitive targets to minimise embodied and operational carbon emissions.

Pathway to Net Zero Sustainability Strategy 2030

See how we’re progressing towards net zero carbon:

100% renewable energy

We’re proud to say 99% of the electricity and gas we buy for Broadgate customers comes from certified renewable sources, and we’re working towards reaching 100%.

Since 2019, over 10,000 tonnes of carbon savings have been made through energy efficiency improvements and Grid decarbonisation. This is equivalent to annual emissions from energy use in over 2,800 homes.

Zero Waste to Landfill

Since 2016, 100% of the waste we manage for Broadgate customers has been diverted from landfill, with over 18,800 tonnes being recycled, equivalent to the weight of more than 1,500 double-decker buses.

We’re also always looking for new ways to better manage waste, such as encouraging reusability and collaborating with local organisations to find innovative waste reduction and diversion solutions.

Independent Certifications

We have achieved the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification for all commercial spaces at Broadgate.

This is an internationally recognised standard that provides a framework for organisations to protect the environment, respond to changing environmental conditions, and balance socio-economic needs.
