Storey space now operational across the capital
Following strong demand for its Storey flexible workspace brand, British Land announces a series of new lettings, including the first Storey deals at its Paddington Central, Regent’s Place and Ealing Broadway locations. Storey is now operational across our London campuses, with 88,000 sq ft of space let or under offer, taking occupancy to 77%.
These new lettings, which include existing and new British Land customers, are as follows:
- At 338 Euston Road, Regent’s Place, pioneering robotic software company Blue Prism, and existing Regent’s Place occupier Lendlease, the international property and infrastructure group, have together signed for 10,200 sq ft
- At Paddington Central’s 4 Kingdom Street, Storey space is fully let to occupiers including international mobile network operator Ice Group, telecommunications infrastructure company BAI Communications UK, and packaging manufacturer kp Group. This takes the total Storey space let at 4 Kingdom Street to 15,200 sq ft
- At Broadgate’s 2FA, leading IT services company Wipro’s strategic design and digital arm Digital + Designit, and connected vehicle technology innovator, Tantalum, have together taken 19,000 sq ft
- At Appold Studios, Broadgate, Rotageek, which offers businesses data-driven employee scheduling and won the Small Business of the Year category at last year’s Small Business Awards, has signed for 1,800 sq ft
- At International House, Ealing, marine technical services company, AP&A, REED Specialist Recruitment, and Scandinavian service provider to the broadcaster media industry, Mediability, have together taken 2,500 sq ft
Other customers already announced across the Storey portfolio include WiredScore at Appold Studios, as well as Kingfisher Digital, and Platform 360 at 2FA.
Storey was established in June 2017 to meet the space and service needs of innovative businesses that have outgrown co-working space, as well as larger organisations seeking additional space on flexible terms.
Storey’s success so far means that it is rapidly becoming a key component of British Land’s unique campus offer which provides unrivalled access to high-quality amenities combined with an evolving mix of retail and leisure, and a wide-ranging programme of events.
Tim Roberts, Head of Offices at British Land, said “We have seen strong interest in Storey since its launch last year; it is testament to the quality of the offer that these innovative businesses have chosen to take space with Storey.
“Our customers are drawn to the flexibility that Storey can provide and our unique campus proposition; places where they can be part of a community of dynamic companies from a range of sectors, whilst benefitting from the diverse amenities we offer.”
Chris McCullough, CEO and co-founder at Rotageek, said: “When we started looking for a new office space, we realised that searching for something for a `scale up’ was not going to be easy. We had outgrown the co-working space stage, but hadn't reached the point where our team size had plateaued.
Working with Storey was the perfect solution for us. The service and consultancy that we received throughout the signing process was genuinely exceptional.
“We found something that could cater for our high growth, something we could grow into and extend if necessary. We could also make our new space our own. Generally, spaces for growing SMEs are inflexible and allow for minimal personalisation due to quick turnover periods. Moving into our first own office was a big step for us, and we wanted our space to look and feel like Rotageek.”
